Our mission at Recruit Genie is to always embrace our environmental responsibilities as part of the industry we are in.
Our goal is to minimise our environmental impact while still delivering the online experience that we all have come to rely on.
Our hosted servers are located at Data centres which only use 100% renewable energy, powered by wind and hydro assets, to minimise our online carbon footprint.
We strive to continue to provide fully optimised solutions with exceptional engineering support, whilst positively impacting the communities around us.
Our commitment is to reach the UK’s commitment of net zero by 2050, we believe that everyone needs to work together to achieve this.
Renewable Energy
Our hosting is powered by 100% renewable energy generated by wind and hydro assets, confirmed by an official SSE Green Electricity Certificate. This energy is backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs).
Sustainable Servers
Recruit Genie prioritise sustainability wherever we can, including our choice of servers. That’s why we’ve chosen PowerEdge servers, which are designed to be sustainable without sacrificing performance.
These servers are made with up to 35% recycled materials, as part of Dell’s repair, replace, or recycle program.
Additionally, they have sustainable features such as improved airflow, lower fan speed, reduced energy consumption, minimal glue, and limited use of paints and coatings.
When our servers reach the end of their lifespan, we ensure they are recycled properly.

Our vision to reach net zero by 2030, we’ve pledged to actively work towards reducing our carbon emissions and contributing towards a sustainable future.

Environmental Footprint
It’s inevitable that we all produce an environmental footprint of some size. But at Recruit Genie, we’re doing our part to reduce our team’s individual carbon footprint.
We aim to use the most sustainable methods of transport, including walking, cycling or using public transport where possible. We have already started replacing our company vehicles with fully electric powered ones.
To help offset the emissions we as a team produce, we’ve partnered with Ecologi. We go above and beyond the minimum requirements by funding more tree planting and environmental projects than we technically need based on our team’s calculated annual footprint. We reduce, reuse or recycle what we can in the office. Printed documents are as minimal as possible, and we use recycled paper. Recycling points are set up in all our offices to collect plastics, glass and cardboard.
